According to Halecki, Russia did not belong to Europe. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in the 1990s, Halecki’s concept was adopted in Poland, one manifestation of which was the establishment of the Institute for Central and Eastern Europe, headed by Jerzy Kłoczowski. During the last decade, the concept was replaced by the vision of Three-Seas cooperation (referring to interwar concepts of intermarium) and the notion of Central Europe. After the full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine, a discussion on the divisions of Europe, including the idea of East-Central Europe, seems inevitable.}, title={Europa Środkowa, Środkowo-Wschodnia czy zapomniana?
