 abstract={The purpose of the article is to present the state of research on the reptile press and indicate potential areas for its further continuation. The author aims to show the model of research on the reptile press developed on the basis of historiography. After a thorough analysis of publications concerning this press and referring to contemporary methodological concepts, she points to the danger of marginalisation of research or its complete abandonment. In conclusion, she signals new possibilities for further research with the use of assumptions proposed by narratology.},
