 abstract={The article presents the activity of Ukrainian nationalist formations (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and Ukrainian Insurgent Army) in the Lemko Region (Lemkivshchyna), and the scale of support for these organisations among Lemkos. The aim was to verify to what extent these phenomena were intense and justified the resettlement of Lemkos within the ‘Vistula’ Operation. Were resettlements the only possibility to bring peace in this part of Poland, or did they fit into the concept of strategic demographic weapon and could be inspired by similar actions taken in the Soviet Union?},
