Abstract:

The article examines the economic ties between the Polish United Workers’ Party and the Italian Communist Party from 1948 to 1957. These collaborations aimed to circumvent sanctions imposed on socialist states and indirectly support the ICP. The analysis reveals how communist parties in different countries sought to align their ideological principles with practical economic conditions while navigating international tensions during the Cold War.
