Teleangiectasis in reg. pontis. Atrophia lamellaris cerebelli /centrifugalis/.Autopsy examination of 62-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin, cresyl-violet and van Gieson.The cortex of all areas showed diffuse desolation, mainly affecting layers III and V, obliterating the layered structure in places. The glia in these sections was stimulated and thickened. The preserved cells showed features of generalized disease similar to the severe ischemic type form. Cells in the Sommer's Sector were segmentally atrophied and showed similar types of damage. Cellular atrophy was also present in the globus pallidus. Features of edema were observed throughout the nervous system. The vasculature showed fibrous and occasionally vitreous features, with visible small round-cell infiltration around some vessels. In the basal part of the pons, near the midline, a rich network of abnormal vessels was found. Although they could correspond in size to venous or arterial vessels, the structure of their walls was completely different. The walls consisted exclusively of endothelial cells, sometimes a vitreous mass. The surrounding tissue was unchanged, although loosening of the tissue structure leading to a spongy state was sometimes observed. In the cerebellum, an almost complete atrophy of Purkinje cells and a slight hypertrophy of the Bergmann layer was observed.}, type={Text}, title={File of histopathological evaluation of nervous system diseases (1963) - nr 25/63}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/imdik/Content/209385/PDF/25_63.pdf}, keywords={Vascular disaeses - anoxia}, }
