 abstract={Temnothorax unifasciatus (Latreille, 1798) is recorded for the frst time in the central part of Poland (Mazovian Low-land), based on morphological identifcation of collected individuals. Until now, this thermophilic ant – commonly nesting in stony areas – has been recorded only in southern regions of the country. In the present study, we update its distribution in Poland, extending its known range northward. So far, it remains unclear whether this new record refects a recent expansion of its range of distribution potentially associated with global warming, or whether this species has been previously overlooked due to insufcient monitoring of the myrmecofauna in this area.},
