The numbers of their foragers reached a maximum in June and July. The activity of M. scabrinodis increased with temperature. Generally, the foragers had clumped distribution. In M. scabrinodis it was related to their numbers and to the species diversity of all foraging ants. The carrying capacity of the habitat, degree of its utilization, threat from the outside and food specialization are considered the main factors responsible for a stable nest location and the size of nests.}, title={Spatial and seasonal structure of ant communities in a mountain meadow}, type={Text}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/miiz/Content/74215/PDF/WA058_86863_P2840-T24_Eko-Pol-A-Nr-4.pdf}, volume={24}, number={4}, journal={Ekologia Polska}, publisher={Polish Scientific Publishers}, keywords={ants, population, mountain meadows, Formicidae}, }
