The former are distinguished by a lower upper size limit of particles grazed (and a narrower gap between carapace margins in cladocerans), the latter by a higher upper size limit of particles grazed and, as a result, by greater susceptibility to filtration interference by net phtytoplankton. A high concentration of net algal forms is discussed as a selectively working factor, modifying the final result of competition between the more and the less efficient filter feeding species in the lake.}, type={Text}, title={Food size selection and seasonal succession of filter feeding zooplankton in an eutrophic lake}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/miiz/Content/74573/PDF/WA058_86904_P2840-T25_Eko-Pol-A-Nr-2.pdf}, volume={25}, number={2}, journal={Ekologia Polska}, publisher={Polish Scientific Publishers}, keywords={zooplankton, ecology, counting, nutrition, species diversity, seasonal variations, Poland, MikoĊ‚ajskie Lake}, }
