<dc:description xml:lang="en"><![CDATA[The highest biomass of P. pectinatus (up to 250 g d.wt. · m-2) in 10 lakes examined has been recorded in the eutrophic ones. The contribution of underground parts to total biomass is greatly differentiated. The higher the total dry weight the lower the cnntribution of underground parts. Laboratory experiments on the growth rate of underground and aboveground parts from tubers show that the monthly growth rate of these parts depends on the age and size of tubers.]]></dc:description>
