Search for: [Abstract = "An analysis has been carried out of the typological and spatial boundaries between deciduous forest communities of the Potentillo albae\-Qucrcetum and TilioCarpinetum types, and the old range has been reconstructed of a selected oak wood in the Bialowieża Primaeval Forest. It has been demonstrated that the encroachment of Carpinus betutus undergrowth causes thermo\- and heliophilous species to retreat, which leads on to the decline of the oak\-wood composition of species at the biochore edges and shrinking of the oakwood area.
