The photo depicts six men; two of them are sitting at the table, four are standing. Two men are wearing uniforms, the rest are in suits. On the table, covered with a white table cloth, there is a vase with flowers, a large book and a box (with a stamp?). According to the photo owner’s account, this is his mother’s brother Władysław (…) with his friends in Warsaw ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
