Abstract:

The rare and unsufficiently known taxa Lochmaea limbata Pic, 1898 (known only from males) and Lochmaea setulosa (Sahlberg, 1913) (known only from females) are proposed as synonyms after detailed studies on a large population from Isparta (Turkey). L. limbata is redescribed and illustrated; the female shows clear dimorphism with the male. Additionally, Crataegus monogyna Jacq. (Rosaceae) is determined as host plant of L. limbata.
