Techniques for the preparation of C- and N-labelled RNA have been recently introduced, making the application of multidimensional, heteronucleeir NMR techniques for the study of RNAstructure in solution possible. The article briefly presents ways of RNA isolation from isotopicallylabelled bacteria and its subsequent degradation to and ^^N-labelled nucleoside 5’-monophos^hates then enzymatically converted to NTPs.
