Abstract:

Histopathological study of the central nervous system in 26 cases of acuteliver diseases was carried out. Twenty four cases concerned patients with acuteviral hepatitis. In 2 cases toxic liver damage was diagnosed. From viral hepatiti sgroup 7 cases were separated in which previous neurological, psychiatnic or other diseases were stated in patients history. All patients died in hepatic coma, which lasted from 1 to 15 days. The disease duration varied from 5 to 150 days.
