Abstract:

The paper considers so-called generic combinatorial optimization problem defined for a finite ground set with specified positive weights of its elements. The set of the feasible solutions of the problem is given as a family of subsets of the ground set. The aim is to find a subset for which the sum of its elements is minimum among all feasible subsets.
