Clinical, anatomical and histological diagnosis
Histological Diagnosis: Dymelinisatio partialis tractus corticos pinalis et fasciculorum posteriorum. Autopsy examination of 85-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with hematoxylin-eosin and Heidenhain’s method.A slight but noticeable fading was observed in the central part of the posterior root ganglion and corticospinal tracts. This may be a syndrome consistent with incipient myelopathy in the progression of secondary anemia or tumor toxicopathy.
