Mice occured in ten habitat patches ranging in area from 0.30 ha to 1.76 ha. Animals were associated most strongly with patches containing a dense and relatively undisturbed cover of grass and herbs \(orchard, scrub and long grass\), but in single instances animals were found in woodland, a churchyard and an overgrown garden.
