According to the photo’s owner, the first from the left is his father Emanuel’s sister – Franciszka. These women came form peasant families from Kokoszyce. They are dressed in a traditional Sunday outfit, worn at that time by unmarried women from the neighbouring villages of Pszów commune, Rybnik district, Katowice voivodeship. It was a long, usually black skirt with an undecorated apron – if without an apron, than a skirt would be trimmed with 6 white buttons \(on the left side\). Women also used to wear waistcoats \(with or without a cut waistline\), fastened at the front in the middle with ornamented buttons, decorated with clasps or without them, in various patterns. That costume was commonly used until 1939"]
