Abstract:

During the latest years many examples have been provided illustrating that gene maps canbe utilized for research aiming at (i) isolating genes causing or having an influence on certaindiseases, (ii) studying the genomic organization and evolutionary relationship of mammalianspecies, and (iii) developing animal models of human disease.
