The dictyopharids planthopper genus Dictyophara Germar, 1833 from Chinais revised and restricted in Palaearctic Region of northern China. Only four recognized Dictyophara species are: D. europaea (Linnaeus, 1767), D. koreana Matsumura, 1915,D. nekkana Matsumura, 1940 and D. pannonica (Germar, 1830), which the former two are recorded from China for the first time. One new generic and three new specific synonyms are recognized: Dictyophara Germar, 1833 = Togaphora Matsumura, 1940syn. nov.; D. koreana Matsumura, 1915 = Centomera manchurica Kato, 1933 syn. nov. = Togaphora hokuryonis Matsumura, 1940 syn. nov.; D. nekkana Matsumura, 1940 = Dictyophara kaszabi Dlabola, 1967 syn. nov. Photographs of the adults of all known species are presented. Descriptions of the genus and its included species are provided together with structural illustrations of the male genitalia. A key and a distribution map tothe four species of Dictyophara from China are provided.
