In the head of the caudate nucleus and partially in the putamen, blood-injected vessels, hemorrhages by diapedesis and perivascular or loose leukocyte infiltrates in the tissue were observed. In addition, isolated perivascular lacunae in the putamen were present. In the globus pallidus, pseudocalcium salts deposits were found in the vessels.
