Title: „Wiadomości Historyczne” - czasopismo dla nauczycieli w latach 1948-1953

Abstract:

The periodical Wiadomości Historyczne was established before World War II in response to an appeal from the community of history teachers and educators. During its dozen or so years of operation, it provided support for history teachers, as it responded to the educational needs of the time and promoted the latest achievements in Polish and European didactic thought. In 1948, the periodical was reactivated at the initiative of the Ministry of Education. Wiadomości Historyczne began operating in completely different political conditions. The periodical published articles on historical topics that corresponded to new directions in historiographic research.
