The picture shows a group of people at all ages – participants of an educational-cultural course. Organizers of the course are sitting in the first row. On the back of the photo there is an inscription:”The district education-cultural course from 13th till 14th March 1947 in Ostrów Wlkp. district. In the middle the chairman of the district W. Z. M. W. [Great-Polish Union of Rural Youth], Ostrów Wlkp. district”; March 13th-14th, 1947, Ostrów Wielkopolski district ; The photo sent to the contest “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly „Nowa Wieś” (New village). The copy of the photo in the possession of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute of the History of Material Culture)
