The photo depicts a group of village children posing for the camera with a teacher in front of a school building. The children are mostly boys in identical uniforms. According to the photo's owner, it depicts children from a village school in Tuchanie, near Białopole. The photo was given by the teacher to her father – according to the inscription on the back. The teacher was a very kind person, devoted to children, the school and propagating education in the countryside. On the back of the photo there is the following inscription: "A souvenir for the Honourable Sir Chairman ... (inscription illegible), Białopole commune, presented by the school in Tuchanie. Tuchanie, d. 21 (?) 1926" 21 III 1926 ; 1926, Tuchanie, voiv. lubelskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
